In Sydney, the first road signs with E-ink displays appeared

Road signs in Sydney

In the largest city of Australia, Sydney, there were the world’s first road signs with screens E-ink, which have long been used in electronic books and smart watches. New signs will inform drivers of temporarily imposed restrictions and current information.

Road signs with screens E-ink have been developed by company Visionect and are intended for improvement of the organization of traffic in a megacity. They are easy to read even in bright sunlight, and thanks to their low energy consumption, they use built-in solar panels. Information on the signs can be changed remotely via an Internet connection.

We add that the E-ink technology has a huge potential. Undoubtedly, in the future on the streets of multi-million cities will appear road signs and billboards with screens based on electronic ink.
